DESCRIPTION:This month the Sidney Art Gallery is pleased to present Patrice Bruzas and her Sumi-e class.  Sumi-e means:  Black Ink Painting.  Black ink on white paper\, simple\, elegant and serene.  Simplicity is the most outstanding characteristic of Sumi-e.  "For me Sumi has captured my heart and soul. I try to capture a moment so that the viewer feels some positive emotion. Working with the traditional\, teaching of this ancient art\, I've blended my own style depicting subjects that may be insignificant or multifaceted\," says Patrice.  This show will display November 3rd - 18th\, with the reception on Sunday\, November 4th from 1 to 4 pm.  Sidney Art Gallery and Museum\, National and State Historic Site\, is located at 202 Sidney Avenue\, Port Orchard\, WA and operates Tuesday through Saturday 10:00 am   4 pm\, and Sundays 1:00 pm   4:00 pm.
