DESCRIPTION:This months luncheon is sponsored by Kitsap Physical Therapy! \n\nJoin us on September 12th as we welcome Port Orchard Police Chief Matt Brown to the Port Orchard Chamber of Commerce luncheon. \n\n The newly appointed Chief of Police will come to officially introduce himself and talk with chamber members about our wonderful city. \n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n September Raffle Recipient\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n \n \n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n \n \n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Backpacks for Kids\n\n \n\n \n\n Backpacks for Kids is an organization out of First Christian Church that works with the South Kitsap School District and the Boys and Girls Club to provide food for children over the weekends. 36% of the children in our school district depend on free or reduced lunch\, this may be the only meal they receive. No child should ever have to worry about their next meal. \n\n \n\n Each week backpacks are filled with practical and nutritious foods\, these packs are then delivered to the schools and Boys and Girls Clubs\, where staff confidentially and discreetly distribute them to the students who need them most. The students then return the backpacks to their school on Monday\, where they are picked back up to be refilled.\n\n \n\n This is purely an all volunteer effort. There are no over-head cost so all donations go entirely to the children and the purchase of food.
