Everybody’s American Cookhouse is a local restaurant centrally located at the top of Mile Hill. It features Northwest comfort food made from scratch, with homegrown recipes. The owners, Barbara Meyer and her husband, seek to make Everybody’s a gathering place for… well… everybody (with an emphasis on Port Orchard’s residents)! Barbara is proud to call her restaurant team members “family,” and looks forward to being a vibrant part of South Kitsap for years to come. 

Barbara and her husband have spent the last 25 years in the restaurant and special event industry, and moved here seven years ago to pursue business opportunites. First she and her husband, and now her son, Jason, operated the galleys on Washington State Ferries. After having lived here for several years, Barbara and her husband decided to open a restaurant, having fallen in love with the small "hometown" feel of the close-knit community. 

When not working, Barbara enjoys relaxing at home and traveling, exploring new places and meeting new people.
