Mark your calendars and join us for an informative and inspiring event!
Many of you may remember 3D WIT, the 3D animation club from South Kitsap High School.
For those that don't know: 3D WIT (3D Worlds and Interactive Technology) is a student-led club at South Kitsap High School dedicated to exploring the world of 3D animation. While the club has an advisor, students take the lead—choosing what they want to learn and building upon knowledge from their classes. Participation is completely voluntary, and students do not need to be enrolled in 3D Modeling & Animation courses to join.
For many of these students, this club and the animation classes are more than just extracurricular activities. They’ve found their niche, their community, and even potential career paths. While not everyone will become an animator, the skills they develop can open doors to fields like graphic design, marketing, game design, city planning, engineering, toy modeling, machining, and more.
Last March, 3D WIT was our raffle recipient and we helped fund their trip to the SkillsUSA State Competition, where they earned an impressive 2nd place finish in the state!
This year, their success continues to grow. In January, 18 students from SK participated in the regional competition, and six teams qualified for the state competition.
Going from just four students last year to twelve this year is a remarkable achievement!
To help these talented students fund their trip to the state competition, we are seeking raffle donations and encourage everyone to purchase raffle tickets in support of their journey.
100% of the raffle earnings from this luncheon will go directly to support the students travel needs for the State competition.
Please come prepared to show these students big support—the SK Way!
Let’s rally behind them and help make their state competition dreams a reality!
