Description
This is a GeoCaching event that will possibly bring about 400 people into town. My partner and I are leasing the tall ships, Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftan for the day and they will be docked in Port Orchard for the weekend. There will be 4, two hour battle sails on the ships that we are selling tickets for. In addition to the ships we will be creating GeoCaching puzzles, treasure hunts and other activities in the downtown Port Orchard area. There will be another GeoCaching event after the last sailing at Slaughter County that will possibly draw at least 100 people. We will be talking with the Fathoms Of Fun people to see if they want to move their pirate event to our date so we can have an even larger pirate day. We will be advertising the event through Groundspeak's GeoCaching event page, Facebook event and a web site. None of these are active at this point. We hope to go live on all of those mid January.
