z10th Annual Back-to-School Celebration!

Please join the South Kitsap School District for their 10th annual Back-to-School Celebration at the South Kitsap High School Track! Last year's event was visited by more than 5,000 people, with more expected this year!

Each year, the South Kitsap School District partners with local businesses, civic groups, elected officials, and corporate sponsors so that they can continue to provide everything free to their families through donations. 

Once again, the SKSD is asking for our help in providing the following:

• Backpacks
• School supplies: pens, pencils, paper, 3-ring binders, notebook dividers, highlighters, composition books, crayons, colored pencils, scissors, etc...
• Haircuts
• Immunizations, dental, hearing, and eye exams.

The focus is on healthy children and families, and connecting them to local resources. the SKSD is inviting community members, organizations, agencies, and businesses that provide services to children, youth, and families to set up an exhibit highlighting information about their specific services or activities. Local businesses are welcome to set up a table or distribute giveaway items. There is no charge to participate. An application is available on the SKSD website at http://www.skitsap.wednet.edu.

During their community event you will also find:

• School, district, and curriculum information
• Community resources
• Youth sports activities
• School bus rides
• Team mascots
• Meet your school staff

If you are able to help by providing monetary or in-kind donations such as school supplies, gift cards, bottled water, or other items to be given away to in-district families, your generosity will be recognized in publications and announcements during the event.
